Cemetery and Road Crew Overview
Norwich Township works closely with the Franklin County Engineer’s office to tour and inspect township roads and to identify/fulfill maintenance needs. By law, the County Engineer serves as engineer for the townships. The County Engineer bids for maintenance services. Funds are provided through gasoline taxes and motor vehicle license fees. In addition, Norwich Township provides snow removal, road drainage and signage for all Township roads.
Norwich Township partners with other townships, Franklin County and the Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District to meet the requirements of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination Systems (NPDES) Phase II Storm Water Program.
Norwich Township also owns and operates the Wesley Chapel Cemetery, located at 3225 Dublin Road in Hilliard. Wesley Chapel Cemetery has been in use since 1835. All residents of Norwich Township (Hilliard) are eligible to purchase grave lots.
