School Fire Safety Programs

National Fire Prevention Week is October 3 – 9, 2010. This year’s theme is "Smoke Alarms:  A sound you can live with!".

Norwich Township Fire Prevention will once again be visiting elementary schools located within Hilliard to meet with first, third and fourth grade classes. Each grade level presentation will be given as many times as necessary - limit of two classes or maximum of 60 students per presentation. Remember, the third graders will be outside with the Ladder truck (weather permitting).

Norwich Township Fire Prevention will also be scheduling tours of Station 81 for all kindergarten classes. Station 81 is located at 5181 Northwest Parkway. Please coordinate your transportation with the Hilliard City School District Transportation Department.

Norwich Township Fire Prevention will distribute fire safety handouts to all second and fifth grade classes. The video “Donald’s Fire Survival Plan” is available on loan for second graders. Please try to schedule this video on the same day as your presentation, using the Comments section from the on-line registration form (see below).
