FOCUS Hilliard's Specialized Care Registry was developed to assist first responders in their efforts to appropriately plan for and respond to the needs of individuals and facilities requiring special assistance in an emergency. The goal of the program is to identify and register individuals needing specialized care before they become an emergency so firefighters and EMS personnel can anticipate where help will be needed before a crisis begins. The Specialized Care Registry gives the fire department the ability to evaluate the location and needs in order to develop specialized emergency plans and response strategies.
Upon enrollment, Norwich Township firefighters and other designated emergency planners will review the provided information, including the medical history and prescribed medications, to tailor an emergency response based on that individual's special needs.
