The Franklin County Auditor’s website is a wealth of information for property owners!  As pictured here, the home page provides access to multiple areas of interest.   The website can be found HERE.

Rental Property Registration:  Do you own a rental property?  If so, Ohio Revised Code Section (O.R.C.) 5323.02 requires an owner of residential rental property to file certain information with the auditor of the county in which the property is located. If you need information on your property value, simply click on the Property Search button on the site and enter the address information.  We typically utilize this page to confirm the Tax Status, which identifies what services, city or township would respond to your home.  (I.e. Norwich Township, the City of Hilliard or the City of Columbus.)  Often callers have a Hilliard Zip code but reside in Columbus.  Therefore, Columbus services would be the appropriate contact.

The Franklin County Auditor reviews property values on a regular basis.  If you’d like to see when/if they are in your area, simply click on the Appraisers In Your Community button for details and to view a map of properties currently being appraised. 

Did you know that you can contact the Auditors Office if you feel corrections are needed on your property appraisal?  In addition, if your home is damaged by a storm, fire or other means, state law allows the auditors to temporarily lower your property value.  If the unthinkable happens, simply click HERE for the Damaged or Destroyed Property Form on their website.
